The Kurdistan Region has no labour law of its own, so it still applies Iraqi Labour Law No. 71 of 1987. Federal Iraq has applied the newer Labour Law No. 37 since 2015.

يستحق العامل اجازة مرضية باجر, يدفع من قبل صاحب العمل, لمدة ثلاثين يوما عن سنة العمل.

يجوز تراكم الاجازات المرضية التي يستحقها العامل بموجب البند (اولا) من هذه المادة لحد (١٨٠) يوما.

يستحق العامل اجازة مرضية باجر تام يدفع من صاحب العمل لمدة (٣٠) ثلاثين يوما عن كل سنة عمل .
