72 days on full pay. An insured worker can then ask for up to a year at half pay, paid by the government.

Federal Iraq
At least 14 weeks on full pay, 6 of them after the birth. Same job and pay on return.

The law
The Kurdistan Region has no labour law of its own, so it still applies Iraqi Labour Law No. 71 of 1987. Federal Iraq has applied the newer Labour Law No. 37 since 2015.
تستحق العاملة اجازة خاصة بالحمل والولادة باجر تم لمدة (٧٢) يوما.يحق للمرأة العاملة المضمونة، بعد انتهاء إجازة الوضع، طلب إجازة الأمومة لمدة لاتزيد على سنة واحدة بنصف الراتب على أن لايقل عن مبلغ إعانة الحماية الاجتماعية، يدفع لها من قبل الخزينة العامة بشرط عدم انتهاء العقدتستحق العاملة اجازة خاصة بالحمل و الوضع باجر تام لمدة لا تقل عن (١٤) اربعة عشر اسبوعا في السنة .يضمن للام العاملة في نهاية اجازة الحمل و الوضع و الامومة العودة الى نفس عملها او عمل مساوي له و بنفس الاجر .This is general information, not legal advice.
