The Senior AP Accountant will manage accounts payable activities, ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, maintain financial records, and support financial reporting in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable operations, including invoice verification, payment processing, and supplier reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain organized accounting records.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely settlement of outstanding balances.
- Prepare accounts payable reports and support monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve financial issues.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
