KRD Holding is seeking a Sales Manager in Erbil to direct commercial operations, manage sales teams, and drive revenue and cash collection targets.

About the job

The Sales Manager leads the company's sales function and is accountable for achieving approved sales volume, revenue, and cash collection targets. The role expands market coverage and the active customer base, builds strong distributor and customer relationships, and leads a high-performing sales team.

The Sales Manager ensures that all commercial activity is aligned with production capacity, finished-goods availability, the approved commercial strategy, and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans aligned with the approved business plan and budget.
  • Set sales targets by product, territory, customer segment, distributor, and sales representative.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and share demand information with Production to support production and finished-goods planning.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer demand to identify growth opportunities.
  • Design and maintain an effective route-to-market and distribution coverage strategy.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve approved targets and service standards.
  • Allocate territories, routes, customers, and individual targets according to business priorities.
  • Review team performance regularly, identify gaps, and implement corrective and development actions.
  • Apply approved sales incentive and commission schemes fairly and accurately.
  • Build team capability in selling, negotiation, customer service, market coverage, and collections.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and corporate accounts.
  • Acquire new customers and grow active customer coverage across priority market segments.
  • Manage key and strategic accounts, negotiating within delegated authority limits.
  • Ensure that orders, prices, discounts, and commercial terms comply with approved company policies.
  • Monitor customer complaints and product returns, and coordinate timely resolution with the relevant departments.
  • Drive timely collection of customer receivables and follow up overdue balances with the sales team and Finance.
  • Ensure all collections are accurately recorded and reconciled against customer accounts.
  • Investigate and promptly escalate collection discrepancies, shortages, or suspected irregularities.
  • Coordinate with Production and Warehouse and Logistics to maintain product availability and service levels.
  • Recommend pricing, promotions, credit actions, and other commercial measures in line with the approved strategy and authority limits.

  • Allocate sales territories, routes, customers, and targets within the approved organisational structure.
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate sales team performance, and recommend corrective or disciplinary action where needed.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within delegated authority limits.
  • Recommend pricing, promotions, customer credit actions, and sales campaigns for approval.
  • Escalate exceptional pricing, credit, customer, or collection matters to the Managing Director.
  • The Sales Manager has no authority to override Finance or Enterprise Resource Planning system controls, or to approve transactions outside delegated limits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive sales experience; experience in fast-moving consumer goods, food and beverage, or beverage manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial sales role with accountability for targets, teams, and customer accounts is preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial targets, managing customer relationships, and controlling collections.
  • Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic is required; working proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • Sales planning, forecasting, territory management, route-to-market design, and target setting.
  • Customer relationship and key account management.
  • Pricing, promotion, negotiation, distribution, and collection management.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Sales reporting, performance analysis, market intelligence, and sound financial understanding.
  • Leadership, accountability, and a strong results orientation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
