Mselect is hiring an experienced Sales Engineer in Erbil for an international industrial client. The position requires an engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, at least 8 years of sales experience, and trilingual fluency in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.

mselect is looking to hire a Sales Engineer for an international industrial client in Erbil, Iraq.
The role is responsible for managing administrative and sales activities across north Iraq, including organising and maintaining stock, preparing daily reports, handling the collection and deposit of funds, and maintaining proper filing of documents. The role also involves visiting customers to present and promote company solutions, following up with customers regarding their orders, and coordinating the receipt and delivery of goods.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and visit new and existing clients
- Maintain strong relationships and regular communication with prospects and clients
- Promote the full range of products and services through add-on sales, cross-selling, and other sales techniques
- Respond to requests from customers, colleagues, or suppliers within 24 hours
- Prepare offers and reports
- Discuss results, reports, forecasts, and promotions during weekly sales meetings
- Negotiate and finalise sales agreements with clients
- Provide customer support by phone when required, including outside regular working hours
- Maintain proper inventory of goods
- Coordinate with local and international suppliers
- Submit daily reports to the manager
- Represent the company and its services in a highly effective and professional manner
- Generate new business accounts and identify new business opportunities
- Collect payments from customers
- Coordinate order receipts and deliveries with the Lebanon team, customers, and suppliers
- Remain available by mobile phone and email, including during weekends and holidays
- Maintain responsibility for company assets, including buildings, furniture, vehicles, and inventory, ensuring they are kept in good condition and properly maintained
- Handle petty cash expenses and bank-related functions
- Travel as required, by plane or car, to cities across Iraq, including Erbil, Baghdad, and Basra, to visit customers, as well as to Lebanon for training or meetings when needed
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in sales functions
- Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic, and English
- Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Clear reporting skills, with the ability to describe completed work and provide detailed customer feedback
- Strong attention to detail, including providing photos and full descriptions of completed work or customer requests
- Honesty and transparency when communicating with colleagues and customers on all matters
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to complete tasks thoroughly and follow up until completion
- Dedication to completing tasks within the required timelines
- Pleasant and respectful relationships with colleagues and management
- Professional attitude and a positive approach toward customers
