Work Location: DDK Lounge and Terrace
DDK Lounge and Terrace is seeking a welcoming and service-oriented Female Hostess to support the front-of-house guest experience. Reporting to the DDK Lounge and Terrace Manager, the successful candidate will greet guests, assist with seating, maintain an organized and welcoming entrance area, support smooth guest flow, and assist with table service when required by operations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests promptly and professionally, assist with seating, and help maintain a warm and organized arrival experience.
- Monitor table availability and coordinate guest seating with the DDK Lounge and Terrace service team to support smooth front-of-house operations.
- Respond politely to basic guest enquiries and direct requests to the appropriate team member or the DDK Lounge and Terrace Manager when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness, order, and presentation of the entrance, waiting, and guest-facing areas.
- Report operational concerns promptly.
- Assist waiters and other service staff with serving, clearing, or guest support when necessary.
- Follow company service, grooming, hygiene, and conduct standards.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a hostess, waitress, receptionist, or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role.
- Good command of Kurdish and Arabic is required.
- Basic knowledge of English is required.
- Friendly, polite, and professional communication skills, with the ability to make guests feel welcome and attended to.
- Good awareness of table availability, guest flow, cleanliness, and front-of-house presentation.
- Ability to remain organized, attentive, and calm during busy service periods.
- Previous experience in a coffeehouse, café, restaurant, hotel, or other hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong personal presentation, a positive attitude, and willingness to support the service team when needed.
- Flexibility to work shifts according to DDK Lounge and Terrace operating requirements, including evenings and weekends when required, is preferred.
