First Iraq Bank is seeking a Core Banking Support specialist in Baghdad to maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot core and supporting banking applications and integrations. The position requires a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, along with experience in application support or banking software.
Responsibilities
- Support and operate core and supporting banking systems and applications, ensuring their availability and stability, and handling incidents, service requests, and changes in coordination with technical teams and vendors.
- Monitor core and supporting banking systems and verify their daily availability and performance.
- Receive, analyze, and resolve application-related incidents and service requests within the agreed SLA.
- Escalate complex issues to development teams or vendors and follow up until closure.
- Support daily operations, scheduled jobs, interfaces, and system integrations.
- Implement approved changes and releases and support testing before and after production deployment.
- Support UAT and verify the results of fixes and updates before deployment to production.
- Monitor application logs and errors and perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Coordinate with database, infrastructure, network, and security teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Update operational documentation, configurations, known solutions, and the knowledge base.
- Prepare reports on system availability, incidents, changes, and open issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous Experience:
- Relevant experience in application support or banking systems, preferably with experience in Core Banking and financial systems.
- Other Skills:
- Application support, Core Banking, basic SQL, APIs and integration, ITSM, incident and change management, UAT, and documentation.
