Dr. Alla Plastic Surgery Clinic in Erbil is hiring a full-time female clinic nurse with at least 3 years of nursing experience to assist with plastic surgery procedures, patient care, wound management, and clinic operations.
About the job
Dr. Alla Plastic Surgery Clinic is seeking an experienced and professional Female Clinic Nurse to support the daily clinical operations of the plastic surgery clinic. The nurse will work closely with Dr. Alla, Plastic Surgeon, and will be responsible for preparing patients and treatment rooms, assisting during consultations and minor procedures, providing wound and post-operative care, maintaining clinical documentation, and ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist Dr. Alla during patient consultations, examinations, and in-clinic procedures.
- Prepare patients before examinations and procedures.
- Prepare consultation and procedure rooms before each patient.
- Assist with minor surgical and plastic surgery procedures performed in the clinic.
- Perform wound assessments and dressing changes according to the doctor’s instructions.
- Support post-operative patients during clinic follow-up visits.
- Remove sutures, staples, or dressings when instructed by the surgeon and within the nurse’s professional scope.
- Monitor healing progress and immediately report concerns or signs of complications to Dr. Alla.
- Provide patients with pre-operative and post-operative instructions according to the surgeon’s protocols.
- Take and record vital signs and relevant patient information.
- Assist with blood collection, cannulation, injections, and other nursing procedures when required and within professional scope.
- Prepare instruments, medical supplies, dressings, and equipment required for procedures.
- Ensure proper sterilization and infection-control procedures are followed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of clinical and procedure rooms.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, patient records, procedure documentation, and follow-up information.
- Coordinate patient flow between reception, consultation, procedure, and follow-up areas.
- Follow up with patients when requested by the doctor regarding recovery, dressing care, or scheduled follow-up visits.
- Monitor medical supplies and inform management when stock needs to be replenished.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
- Support the overall daily operation and organization of the clinic.
- Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies and follow clinic emergency protocols.
- Work closely with Dr. Alla and the clinic team to provide a professional and comfortable patient experience.
Requirements
- Female candidate.
- Nursing degree or recognized nursing qualification.
- Valid nursing license/registration where applicable.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
- Previous experience in plastic surgery, surgical, dermatology, aesthetic, or private clinics is strongly preferred.
- Experience with surgical wound care and dressing changes.
- Good knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures.
- Ability to assist with minor surgical procedures.
- Good knowledge of pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Experience with IV cannulation, blood collection, and injections is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or emergency-response training is preferred.
- Strong communication and patient-care skills.
- Professional, organized, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy private-clinic environment.
- Kurdish: Fluent
- English: Good to Fluent
- Arabic: Considered an advantage

- Working hours will follow the clinic schedule, with flexibility when required for procedures, consultations, and post-operative patient follow-ups.
