First Iraqi Bank (FIB) is looking for Business Supervisor to support and enhance the Bank’s digital banking channels and integration services.

The Business Supervisor is responsible for supervising the implementation of business activities, following up on commercial opportunities and initiatives and customer relationships within the scope of work, and ensuring effective coordination between the business team and supporting departments. The role also monitors performance, targets, and quality of execution, and guides employees within the scope of supervision in a manner that contributes to business and revenue growth, improves the customer experience, and ensures compliance with the Bank’s policies and approved controls.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the implementation of the daily business plan and activities, distribute tasks, and follow up on completion in accordance with approved targets and priorities.
  • Follow up on business opportunities and current and potential customers, and ensure that follow-up stages and required actions are updated until closure or a decision is made.
  • Monitor employee performance and activities against targets and performance indicators, identify gaps, and raise the necessary actions and recommendations.
  • Support business development by identifying growth opportunities, customers, and target sectors, and gathering the information required to evaluate opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Relationship, Sales, Branches, Products, Credit, and Operations teams to ensure progress of requests and address bottlenecks.
  • Review the quality and completeness of information and documents related to customers and opportunities before referring them to the relevant parties in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Follow up on customer requests and outstanding operational or commercial issues, and ensure that there is an assigned owner, action plan, and target date for closure.
  • Contribute to preparing business presentations and proposals and the commercial information required to support customer acquisition and relationship development.
  • Analyze business results, conversion rates, and revenues, and submit periodic reports on performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Supervise the quality of customer service within the scope of work and ensure compliance with service levels and that no commitments are made beyond the assigned authorities.
  • Guide employees within the scope of supervision, provide on-the-job support, review the quality of outputs, and contribute to identifying development needs.
  • Follow up on the implementation of decisions and assignments resulting from business meetings, document actions, responsibilities, and timelines, and follow up on closure.
  • Identify risks or observations related to customers, operations, or products and escalate them to the direct supervisor and relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of customer and Bank information and comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures, the instructions of regulatory authorities, and related controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Sciences, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Relevant practical experience of usually no less than 5 years in commercial business, business development, sales, or banking relationships, with supervisory experience in the banking or financial sector preferred.
  • Business management and follow-up, business development and sales, performance analysis, customer and opportunity management, report preparation, team leadership, negotiation and communication, problem-solving, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a good understanding of banking products and services.
