About the job

The Business Relationship Management Officer is responsible for building, managing, and developing the Bank’s relationships with clients within the assigned portfolio or target segments, understanding their needs, developing business opportunities, and coordinating the delivery of appropriate banking products and solutions. The role is also responsible for portfolio and revenue growth, relationship quality, following up on requests, service levels, and risks associated with the relationship, in a manner that achieves the Bank’s objectives and maintains an excellent customer experience within the approved authorities and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the assigned client portfolio, maintain sustainable professional relationships, and understand clients’ needs, plans, and banking requirements.
  • Prepare and implement relationship management and target client plans and align them with commercial targets, revenues, and priority products.
  • Acquire new clients and business opportunities within the target segments and convert qualified opportunities into active banking relationships.
  • Identify clients’ needs and coordinate the provision of appropriate banking products and solutions that deliver value to both the client and the Bank without exceeding approved authorities.
  • Monitor portfolio profitability, revenues, balances, product utilization, and performance indicators, analyze variances, and take improvement actions.
  • Prepare or coordinate client requests and proposals, ensure the completeness of information and documentation, and refer them to the relevant departments and concerned parties.
  • Follow up on requests, transactions, approvals, and open cases with the relevant departments to ensure completion within agreed service levels and timelines.
  • Conduct periodic visits and meetings with clients and document outcomes, opportunities, observations, commitments, and required actions.
  • Monitor material information and indicators related to clients, identify any changes that may affect the relationship or risk level, and escalate them to the relevant party.
  • Coordinate with Credit, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, Operations, Products, and Branches to ensure integrated relationship management.
  • Address client complaints and feedback within the scope of the relationship or ensure their referral and follow-up through approved channels until closure.
  • Prepare business forecasts and reports on opportunities, portfolio, revenues, and risks, and submit them periodically to the direct supervisor.
  • Participate in initiatives, campaigns, and commercial events aimed at developing relationships and increasing the utilization of the Bank’s products and services.
  • Comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) and due diligence requirements, the Bank’s policies, regulatory authorities’ instructions, and maintain the confidentiality of client information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Financial Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Typically, a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in relationship management, business development, or banking sales, with good experience in managing client portfolios and banking products and services.
  • Relationship and portfolio management, business development, commercial analysis, negotiation and consultative selling, business opportunity management, understanding of banking products, preparation of presentations and reports, communication and stakeholder management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and English appropriate to the job requirements.
