Wood is hiring a Site Scheduler for a full-time, on-site role in Basra, Iraq, with a 4-weeks-on/4-weeks-off rotation. The role suits a candidate with a bachelor’s degree, at least 8 years of Oil & Gas experience, significant construction experience, and proficiency in MSP, Primavera, and Pertmaster.

Wood is recruiting for a Site Scheduler to join its Iraq business unit focusing on conducting the jobs related to project planning matters in order to respect the HSE policies and procedures.
This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases.
The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24”, ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.
Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

Working hours
- This role is a full-time on-site role in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.
- Rotation: 4 weeks on/4 weeks off
Responsibilities
- Conduct the jobs related to project planning matters in order to respect the HSE policies and procedures.
- Analyze and provide reporting related actual condition of project construction activities in order to manage the project activities in a good manner.
- Analyze the reliability of contractor’s project planning, monitor project activities status through coordination with related parties project planning activities in order to ensure the project activities are implemented as per approved schedule.
- Analyze and prepare integrated schedule of project-production as well as project planning and reporting in order to smooth the process of project construction into production phase.
- Support and enforce project guidelines and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) objectives.
- Apply all planning activities in line with Group’ standard, COMPANY rules and regulation for technical, health, safety and environment.
- Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary.
- Gather accurate and timely information from project's location and give information to management related actual condition of project activities.
- Prepare plan and progress coordination with contractors and site representative.
- Prepare reporting of actual progress project activities as per gathered and monitored data from actual condition on site.
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate the reliability and feasibility of contractor’s planning and progress of projects construction activities.
- Check the remaining/outstanding work and compare reported and actual progress at yard/site.
- Liaise with project/site/contract manager for information and occurring problems in projects.
- Help project manager and company's site representative in checking and coordinating projects activities related to monitoring (outstanding material, planning and calculating progress, and remaining work).
- Liaise with project/site/contract manager for data, site representative for planning and progress coordination, and contractors to establish realistic planning and validate physical progress.
- Convey information to Project lead planner for integration into overall reporting.
- Review and monitor level 4 planning provided by contractors on site.
- Establish project-production integrated schedule that updated regularly to give information of project's current status.
- In charge of the update of all planning on site (5WLA, 2 months, 4 months, 24 months, SD, ..).
- Establish construction-commissioning integrated schedule that updated regularly.
- Ensure facilities transfer and close out planning are conducted smoothly.
- Provide documentation of actual progress related to project construction activities.
- Issuing weekly status of remaining work quantity for information and quantities of commodity status (achieved vs plan, productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Minimum 8 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry with significant experience in construction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in advanced applications, expertise in planning specialist applications in (MSP, Primavera, Pertmaster).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
