Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys, site inspections, and data collection for mechanical projects.
- Verify field conditions and prepare survey reports to support engineering design and project execution.
- Coordinate with survey teams, construction contractors, and operations personnel during project development and execution.
- Review survey drawings, alignment sheets, topographical data, and as-built documentation.
- Support feasibility studies, route selection, and constructability assessments.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting site surveys, supporting engineering studies, overseeing equipment inspections working to client and international standards.
Requirements
- Wood is looking to recruit an experienced Iraqi National Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) with survey experience to support Engineering Design.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 6 - 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Infrastructure projects.
- Experience in rotating equipment, and field survey activities.
- Experience working in brownfield and greenfield projects is preferred.
- Understanding of API, ASME, and relevant international engineering standards.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment specifications and survey documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work in remote field locations and multicultural environments.
