Mesopo Agency is looking for an experienced Odoo ERP Accounting Consultant to implement, configure, and support accounting solutions for Mesopo and its clients.
The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with practical Odoo implementation experience and excellent client communication skills.
In this role, you will work directly with clients to understand their accounting needs, configure and implement Odoo Accounting, migrate data, train users, and support projects from initial setup through go-live.
This position is ideal for an accounting professional interested in combining finance expertise with ERP technology and working on real business implementations within a technology and consulting environment.

Responsibilities
- Understand clients’ accounting processes and translate their requirements into Odoo configurations.
- Configure charts of accounts, journals, taxes, payment terms, bank accounts, and financial reporting.
- Set up customer invoices, vendor bills, expenses, payments, and bank reconciliation.
- Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and month-end closing.
- Connect accounting workflows with Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and other relevant Odoo modules.
- Import and validate opening balances, master data, and historical accounting records.
- Configure project-cost tracking, analytic accounting, budgets, and profitability reports.
- Review accounting entries, investigate discrepancies, and resolve configuration issues.
- Train accountants and end users, prepare user guides, and provide ongoing support.
- Coordinate with developers on custom requirements, integrations, testing, and implementation.
- Support client projects from requirements gathering through go-live and follow-up.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including practical experience implementing Odoo Accounting.
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, financial statements, reconciliation, and closing procedures.
- Experience completing at least one Odoo accounting implementation.
- Strong Excel, data migration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain accounting processes clearly and work directly with clients.
- Good English communication skills; Kurdish and Arabic are an advantage.
- Odoo certification or another professional accounting qualification.
- Experience with multi-company and multi-currency accounting.
- Knowledge of Iraqi accounting practices; UAE VAT experience is an advantage.
- Experience supporting multiple client projects.
