Abacus Engineering is hiring a Junior Infrastructure Engineer in Erbil to support infrastructure and site-development design and construction projects. The role suits a civil engineering graduate with English communication skills and knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

We are seeking a motivated Junior Infrastructure Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design and construction of infrastructure and site-development projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Previous experience in consulting engineering, contracting, or site-development projects is preferred.
- Good understanding of basic civil infrastructure design principles.
- Familiarity with roads, grading, stormwater drainage, water supply, wastewater, and utility networks.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Experience with surfaces, alignments, profiles, grading plans, pipe networks, and basic quantity take-offs is preferred.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Basic familiarity with international engineering standards and Iraqi/KRG requirements.

- Salary: Starting from $600
Working hours
- Working Hours: Sunday–Thursday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with infrastructure planning and design.
- Prepare and update Civil 3D drawings for roads, grading, drainage, and utility networks.
- Develop surfaces, profiles, alignments, sections, and pipe-network layouts.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and support BOQ preparation.
- Review survey data and incorporate site information into designs.
- Coordinate infrastructure drawings with architectural, structural, landscape, and MEP disciplines.
- Assist in identifying utility conflicts, level discrepancies, and constructability issues.
- Review shop drawings and technical submissions under senior engineers’ direction.
