Al Watania Holding Group is hiring a GPS & Tracking Specialist in Baghdad to operate tracking platforms, install and troubleshoot devices, and analyze fleet data. The position requires a relevant diploma or bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience.

Responsible for managing and operating the organization's GPS tracking systems and platforms, ensuring accurate real-time vehicle and asset tracking, reliable device installation and configuration, and clear reporting. Oversees the GPS tracking infrastructure, troubleshoots devices and connectivity, and supports operational teams with tracking data and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate GPS tracking systems and platforms, ensuring accurate real-time tracking of vehicles and assets.
- Install, configure, and commission GPS tracking devices and related hardware.
- Monitor tracking data, geofences, routes, and alerts, and ensure system reliability and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot GPS devices, SIM/connectivity, and platform issues, and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Generate and deliver tracking reports (trips, mileage, idling, speed, geofence violations) to the relevant departments.
- Configure geofences, alerts, and rules based on operational requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of GPS devices, SIM cards, and installations.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and access on the tracking platform.
- Support operations, fleet, and security teams with tracking data and analysis.
- Coordinate with GPS device and platform vendors for support, updates, and enhancements.
- Maintain documentation of installations, configurations, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT and data-privacy policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in GPS tracking systems, fleet tracking, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of GPS tracking systems and platforms.
- Experience with GPS device installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of GSM/GPRS connectivity and SIM management.
- Ability to configure geofences and alerts and to generate tracking reports.
- Good data-analysis and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with fleet-management concepts.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Any GPS / telematics or fleet-management related certification (Desirable).
