دەربارەی کارەکە
mselect is looking to hire a Senior QA/QC Engineer – Civil and Structural for a construction client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have 5–7 years of relevant QA/QC experience in civil, structural, and building construction projects.
The Senior QA/QC Engineer – Civil and Structural will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control across structural, civil, architectural finishing, and fit-out works, while supporting quantity surveying and commercial measurement activities. The ideal candidate will have strong site-based experience in residential or high-end construction projects and be confident managing inspections, technical documentation, subcontractors and quality standards.

- Develop and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Inspect concrete, reinforcement, formwork, steel structures and masonry work
- Manage concrete testing, sampling, cube/cylinder testing and quality records
- Review and approve structural works before concrete pours and other critical activities
- Inspect steel alignment, dimensions, connections, bracing and structural tolerances
- Manage NCRs, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
- Review Method Statements, Material Approval Requests (MARs), RFIs and technical submittals
- Inspect blockwork, plastering, drywall, flooring, tiling, painting and other finishing works
- Monitor MEP first-fix works before walls, ceilings and floors are closed
- Inspect waterproofing applications and coordinate flood testing
- Check tile alignment, levels, slopes, grout lines and workmanship
- Inspect doors, windows, joinery and other architectural elements
- Manage snagging, rectification and progressive project closeout
- Prepare material and quantity take-offs from structural, civil and architectural drawings
- Prepare and maintain quantity calculations, BBS and concrete quantity records
- Measure finishing works including flooring, tiling, plastering, painting and drywall
- Verify subcontractor progress claims through site measurements
- Reconcile actual quantities against BOQs and identify variations
- Support variation orders, material control and cost-related reporting
مەرجەکان
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in QA/QC within civil, structural, and building construction projects
- Strong knowledge of structural works and architectural finishing/fit-out
- Experience in Quantity Surveying, BOQ, quantity take-offs, and subcontractor valuations
- Good knowledge of relevant standards, including ACI, ASTM, and AISC
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, ITPs, inspection procedures, and quality documentation
- Experience in high-end residential, apartment, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects is preferred
- Candidates with combined experience in structural QA/QC, architectural finishing/fit-out, and Quantity Surveying are preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and quantity measurement is preferred
- Strong communication and coordination skills with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple site priorities
