Project Title: Strengthening Social Cohesion, Community Recovery and Integrated Local Support Structures in Ninewa

Al-Mesalla Organization for Human Resources Development is implementing "Strengthening Social Cohesion, Community Recovery and Integrated Local Support Structures in Ninewa" with GIZ Civil Peace Service (CPS) support in Mosul, Bashiqa, Hamdaniya, Telkaif and Sinjar District (Ninewa Governorate). The project supports the identification, strengthening, reactivation or, only where no suitable mechanism exists, formation of locally grounded community peace structures; delivers assessment-driven capacity development to structure members; facilitates gender-sensitive community dialogue; and supports each structure to update its conflict analysis and develop its own Community Peace Action Plan.

The Project Assistant provides field-level coordination, mobilisation and logistical support to the project's assessment, capacity-development and dialogue activities, with a geographic or thematic focus assigned by the Project Manager.

ئەرکەکان

  • Support field coordination and logistical preparation for assessments, capacity-development sessions and community dialogues.
  • Mobilise community members and structure representatives for scheduled activities, in coordination with the Social Cohesion Officer.
  • Prepare and organise venues, materials and attendance documentation for field activities.

  • Coordinate the mobilisation of structure members for capacity-development sessions and the inter-committee peer-learning activities.
  • Support logistical preparation and participant follow-up for the gender-sensitive community dialogues.
  • Support logistical arrangements for structure meetings held during the Community Peace Action Planning process, without substituting for the structure's own decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and participation records disaggregated as required by the project's monitoring framework.
  • Coordinate daily with the Project Manager and Social Cohesion Officer on field schedules.
  • Coordinate with Project Assistant 2 to divide field coverage efficiently across the five locations.
  • Coordinate with the MEAL Assistant on the collection and quality of attendance/participation data.
  • Maintain attendance sheets, session logs and participant-follow-up records for all supported activities.
  • Submit field activity summaries to the Project Manager on a regular basis.
  • The position holder is required to comply fully with Al-Mesalla's Code of Conduct, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy, and Do No Harm principles at all times. This includes completing all mandatory safeguarding training, reporting any concerns through Al-Mesalla's Complaints and Feedback Response Mechanism (CFRM), maintaining confidentiality of participant information, and observing the boundaries of competence that apply to this role — in particular, not diagnosing, assessing, or managing any protection or mental-health-related case, and referring any such matter to the appropriate qualified channel rather than acting on it directly.
