ئەرکەکان

Ensure that the various Engineering Systems meet the functional requirements of the project
Meet minimum safety and reliability requirements per best industry practices
Meet sparing requirements stipulated in project specifications / best industry practices
Meet maintainability requirements
Ensure that the system design is sufficiently detailed to ensure smooth procurement
Ensure that the system design is sufficiently detailed to avoid confusion during construction
Ensure that the system design is sufficiently detailed to allow smooth commissioning
Ensure smooth coordination between the various engineering disciplines
Ensure engineering documents received from the design contractor are responded to in a timely manner
Ensure the design contractor meets the project time schedule
Ensure variation orders are limited to the absolute minimum
Professionally assess both technical and commercial aspects
Act as the focal point for all engineering issues
Chair/attend meetings between management, the Project Director, the owner's engineer, the EPC contractor (design team), and the engineering team to review project requirements and processes
Prepare and issue progress reports to company management, providing an overall executive summary
Inform division team leads of scope modifications, advise on solutions, and instruct updates to relevant documents
Coordinate and review the department's/project teams' technical work
Ensure engineering performance and design adhere to project specifications and requirements
Evaluate, advise on, and approve engineering-relevant schedules
Collaborate with internal departments on project technical oversight
Enhance processes and procedures in engineering functions
Coordinate and plan workload of staff and project resource needs
Identify and approve changes to project scope/engineering schedule
Ensure all work materials are consistent with project specifications and industry standards
Ensure the project engineering time schedule is met
Arbitrate on interdepartmental coordination
Approve deviations from the project specification
Advise on variation order requests within department jurisdiction
Perform other tasks assigned by direct manager within scope of work
Demonstrate commitment to occupational safety and health procedures
Prepare periodic activity/achievement reports for direct supervisor
Specify manpower requirements per recruitment/HR planning practices
Identify training needs of subordinates and evaluate training outcomes with HR & Admin
Follow up on employee affairs (vacations, leaves, etc.)
Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates and recommend actions
Nominate a deputy to cover the role in case of absence

مەرجەکان

Open To: Local candidates only
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience: 13+ years of experience in power plant projects, including 5 years in a managerial position
Overall knowledge of best power plant design practices
Overall knowledge of Engineering Design Methods, Procedures, and Codes/Standards
Knowledge of Health and Safety laws
PMP
MS Office
AutoCAD
Primavera P6 or equivalent
English (Mandatory) — Good speaking, good reading, excellent writing
One of the following: Kurdish or Arabic (Mandatory) — Good speaking, good reading, excellent writing
