دەربارەی کارەکە

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Electrical Substation Supervisor to oversee site progress, quality, testing activities, and cutoff coordination at electrical substations across Erbil and Duhok Governorates.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the execution of daily activities, ensuring that planned inspection, testing, and maintenance works are completed according to schedule and approved procedures, monitoring the quality of technical activities, and coordinating de-energization and re-energization requirements.

The position requires a strong technical background in electrical substations, excellent coordination and reporting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under demanding site conditions.

ئەرکەکان

  • Supervise daily inspection, testing, and maintenance activities at electrical substations.
  • Monitor the overall progress of planned activities and ensure daily targets are achieved.
  • Ensure site teams follow the approved work plans, schedules, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to resolve day-to-day site issues and prevent unnecessary delays.
  • Monitor manpower, equipment, and resources required for planned activities.
  • Report delays, constraints, and issues to the Project Coordinator in a timely manner.
  • Ensure inspection, testing, and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with applicable IEC standards and relevant electrical engineering requirements.
  • Ensure approved Method Statements, procedures, and work plans are properly followed.
  • Monitor technical activities and identify deviations from approved procedures.
  • Support the technical teams in maintaining consistent and professional work practices.
  • Escalate significant technical or procedural deviations to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate, implement, and monitor previously established de-energization and re-energization procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Project Coordinator, Control Center, technical teams, and substation operators and/or managers regarding equipment cutoffs.
  • Assist in planning the sequence and timing of asset cutoffs.
  • Monitor the implementation of approved cutoff sequences.
  • Ensure required procedures are followed before equipment is de-energized or re-energized.
  • Monitor the quality of substation inspection, testing, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure testing and inspection activities are performed according to approved procedures and required technical standards.
  • Review the quality and completeness of inspection and testing records.
  • Verify that testing equipment and instruments being used by the technical teams are properly calibrated and within their valid calibration period.
  • Identify deficiencies in testing procedures, inspection activities, or documentation and ensure corrective action is taken.
  • Monitor the consistency and reliability of testing activities and recorded results.
  • Constantly monitor and evaluate test results produced by technical teams.
  • Review test procedures and identify potential inconsistencies or abnormalities.
  • Coordinate with technical engineers when test results require further investigation or clarification.
  • Ensure abnormal or questionable results are properly documented and escalated.
  • Support the technical team in ensuring that test results are complete, accurate, and traceable.
  • Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the Project Manager.
  • Record completed activities, pending tasks, delays, technical issues, and site constraints.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive final reports following completion of substation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection, testing, maintenance, and quality-related activities.
  • Ensure project documentation is properly organized and submitted within required deadlines.

مەرجەکان

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Previous experience working in electrical substations and electrical compounds is required.
  • Previous experience in site supervision and quality assurance is highly preferred.
  • Experience in substation inspection, testing, maintenance, or commissioning is an advantage.
  • Experience coordinating electrical equipment cutoffs and site activities is highly desirable.
  • Experience in technical report writing and work planning is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of electrical substation equipment and operations.
  • Knowledge of inspection, testing, and maintenance practices for substation equipment.
  • Good understanding of electrical safety and equipment isolation requirements.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate testing activities and test results.
  • Understanding of testing equipment calibration requirements.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Kurdish – Required
  • Arabic – Required
  • English – Preferred, with a good command of written and spoken English.
  • Have strong site supervision and coordination skills.
  • Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Have a strong commitment to quality and technical accuracy.
  • Be proactive in identifying potential problems and delays.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with technical teams, management, and substation personnel.
  • Be capable of working under extensive stress and demanding site conditions.
  • Be flexible and willing to travel frequently between substation locations.
  • Be able to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously.

کاتی دەوام

  • Location: Erbil and Duhok Governorates, Kurdistan Region of Iraq
  • Work Arrangement: 70% Site-Based / 30% Office-Based
  • Working Days: Saturday to Thursday
  • Working Hours: 8 hours per day
  • Travel: Frequent travel to electrical substation locations is required
