The Cleaner and Cook is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene while preparing meals.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across accommodation, kitchens, dining areas, toilets and common facilities.
Prepare daily meals and refreshments for staff and visitors, in accordance with agreed menus and dietary requirements.
Ensure safe food handling, preparation and storage, maintaining appropriate hygiene and food safety standards.
Manage kitchen supplies and food stocks, reporting shortages and supporting timely replenishment.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, dining areas and food preparation surfaces after use.
Collect and dispose of waste and rubbish safely and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Monitor and properly use cleaning products, cooking equipment and other household supplies.
Report any maintenance issues, hazards, damaged equipment or other concerns to the office manager and comply with organizational health, safety and hygiene procedures.
Support the wider operational needs of the programme as directed by senior management.

Five days per week for eight hours per day, with Friday and Saturday being rest days, notwithstanding travel and non-routine events.

General terms, conditions and requirements will be in line with those for HALO national staff and your contract.
This position will be based in Basra.
