عن الوظيفة

Storm is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join us on a part-time / freelance, project-based engagement.

The engineer will be responsible for deploying and managing the production infrastructure for a microservices-based spatial data platform built around PostgreSQL/PostGIS, containerized backend services, Kubernetes, and modern observability tools.

This opportunity is suitable for an experienced DevOps Engineer who can work independently while coordinating closely with the Storm technical team.

المهام

  • Provision and configure the required hosting environment and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Build a scalable and highly available production infrastructure.
  • Deploy and manage a Highly Available PostgreSQL/PostGIS environment.
  • Configure replication, automated backups, recovery procedures, and database availability mechanisms.
  • Containerize and deploy Martin, Pelias, and Valhalla services.
  • Configure an API Gateway for rate limiting, edge caching, API keys, JWT authentication, and traffic management.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and centralized logging using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki/ELK.
  • Automate scheduled data ingestion, system health checks, and recurring operational tasks using CronJobs, n8n, Bash, and SQL.
  • Ensure the environment is secure, scalable, maintainable, and properly documented.
  • Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the Storm technical team.

المتطلبات

  • Proven hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
  • Strong experience with Docker and containerized architectures.
  • Practical experience deploying and managing High Availability PostgreSQL environments.
  • Experience with database replication, backup, recovery, and production availability.
  • Experience implementing and configuring modern API Gateways.
  • Strong understanding of production monitoring, logging, security, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

  • osmium / osm2pgsql
  • Experience with the following would be a strong advantage: PostgreSQL / PostGIS, OpenStreetMap data pipelines, osmium / osm2pgsql, Martin, Pelias, Valhalla, n8n, Geospatial or mapping platforms
